About the project

Development of a management platform for the GEARS RES aggregator. Specialized solution for the automation of order submissions to the Hellenic Energy Exchange, the clearing of fees and the invoicing of RES producers / park owners.

The platform is based on a multi-node stateless architecture, which uses micro-services to perform the individual tasks and features a web interface for the GEARS traders and the producers/ park owners.

Depending on the selected configuration, state and number of nodes in operation, each node can perform one or more of the following services:

Get production forecasts for each park
Provide feedback to forecasting services
Submit orders to the Hellenic Energy Exchange through the ETSS system
Receive measurements and clearances from the corresponding services of the Greek PTO (ΑΔΜΗΕ)
Monitors other nodes: Checks the health of other nodes, ensures correct execution of submissions to the energy exchange and informs GEARS administrators and traders if action is required.

GEARS settles all management issues with the Hellenic Energy Exchange and the Clearing House. GEARS is a technology-based company that takes advantage of the latest developments in data analytics and uses new algorithms and real-time data to forecast generation and bring value to its customers. In parallel, GEARS offers monitoring, operation and maintenance services aiming to optimize assets performance.
